Cancun police catch five flagrante delicto during attempted kidnapping

Cancun, Q.R. — A group of five people have been jailed in Cancun on drug and kidnapping charges. On Thursday, the SSC reported on the arrests of Enrique Uriel “N”, Ruben Octavio “N”, Gerardo “N”, Adrian “N” and Yanira del Carmen “N”.

According to the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSC), the group of five were taken into custody from SM 251 of the Paseos del Mar Fractionation after police received a report from 911 indicating that a woman in one of the apartments was “desperately asking for help”.

Police officers went to the scene where they heard the woman screaming for help. They entered the address where “they observed four men and a woman who had a woman handcuffed on the floor. At the moment of seeing police, she screamed for help and reported that they had her kidnapped.”

Arresting officers reported locating 35 doses of marijuana and 29 doses of crystal on the five now detained.
