Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun transit agent was rescued from the wreckage of his unit after it rolled over and landed on its roof in a ditch along a Cancun highway.
Paramedics and colleagues of the police corporation arrived on scene to attend to the agent who was rushed to hospital. According to the 9-1-1 emergency report, at about 9:45 p.m., the alert was triggered by an emergency report due to the overturning of a police public security unit.
Paramedics worked quickly to remove the trapped officer from his vehicle. He was transferred to the IMSS Hospital of Region 509 where his state of health was reported as delicate.
There was no official word on the cause of the accident. The Cancun police officer remains hospitalized.
