Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun motorcycle taxi driver who was shot Wednesday has died. The young taxi driver died shortly after being admitted to hospital after being shot three times.
The shooting happened while he was driving through the irregular neighborhood of El Milagro. His unit was located Wednesday afternoon approximately three kilometers from José López Portillo Avenue in the El Milagro subdivision.
Paramedics arrived at the scene, providing first aid before transferring him to an IMSS hospital. Paramedics noted he had two gunshot wounds to the chest and one to his right arm.
He died shortly after arriving at the hospital. Those responsible fled and have not been captured. Authorities did not provide a possible motive for the broad daylight shooting.
