Cancun, Q.R. — A motorcycle driver who crashed his bike after hitting a pothole has died. The unusual incident happened Tuesday morning in the Paseos del Mar subdivision of Cancun.
The man was driving home when on Margarita Avenue in SM 251, he skirted around a large pool of water only to hit a deep pothole. He was thrown from his bike and died after landing on the pavement.
The deceased man has been identified as 36-year-old Orlando Josué “L”.
Residents who heard the 1:00 a.m. commotion called for an ambulance when they saw the injured man laying on the street. However, responding paramedics arrived only to pronounced him dead.
