Cancun, Q. R. — The driver of a motorcycle was killed after slamming into the back of a pickup truck. The rear-end accident happened around 8:30 a.m. Monday behind the Cancun Airport.
The unidentified motorcycle driver, who was traveling at highway speed, slammed into the back of the pickup when the driver of the truck suddenly braked for other slowed vehicles ahead.
The motorcycle became partly wedged under the back driver’s side of the truck, sending its driver to the pavement. The man was found with his helmet knocked off laying on the highway near the body.
Traffic behind the Cancun Airport was slowed while authorities attended to the accident scene and Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) removed the deceased man.
