Cancun, Q.R. — The driver of a dirt bike died early Monday morning after skidding into the base of a tree. The accident was reported on Bonampak Avenue in SM 3 in front of a normally busy cafe.
Municipal Police officers responding to the 911 calls of a 5:00 a.m. report of the accident arrived to find the driver of the bike laying face down in greenery. He was located only a few meters from his bike, which did not show signs of damage.
According to Transit Police findings, the unidentified driver lost control and hit the central median where he was thrown from his bike and into the base of a tree. Forensic medical personnel were responsible for the removal of the body.
