Cancun, Q.R. — Members of the Quintana Roo Police of Benito Juarez arrested two people after they were discovered carrying more than 200 bags of drugs.
During a routine police surveillance patrol Thursday, a man and a women were taken into custody in SM 259 of Cancun when police found them carrying bags of marijuana. Police say the pair were on the street when they were seen removing two transparent bags, which looked like marijuana, from a large black bag.
When they noticed police, they became evasive which led police to stop them. Upon inspection, police found that they were in possession of 240 bags of marijuana.
The two arrested have been identified as 31-year-old José Antonio and 23-year-old Yolibet.
