Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun Transit officers were tasked with a bus accident that involved lived CFE cables. The accident happened Friday morning when the driver lost control of the bus while traveling on Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard.
Motorists reported the 6:00 a.m. crash after the large unit slammed into a CFE pole, completely dislodging the pole and collapsing wires onto the bus.
Cancun Traffic Directorate arrived to find the right side of the bus tangled with the overhead CFE wires. Three people from inside the bus were injured in the incident. Speed is being blamed for the accident.
Authorities did not comment on the cost of damage to city property. CFE personnel were requested at the accident scene. They spent several hours clearing the area which consisted of replacing a concrete pole and repositioning the knocked down wires.
