Cancun, Q.R. — A body that showed signs of physical assault was found in Cancun late Monday night. The body of a man believed to be in his late 30s was seen laying face down on a street in SM 106. Surrounding him was a handwritten threat on a large white piece of cloth.
It was around 11:45 p.m. when the discovery of the bloody body was called in to Cancun authorities. Police requested an ambulance, however, medical personnel arrived only to confirm he was dead.
Investigating officers photographed the scene, which included the large piece of cloth. On it were threats against others with allegations of property invasions for plots of land in Solidaridad.
The unidentified man’s death is being treated as a homicide.
