Two public Cancun buses accused of speeding collide

Cancun, Q.R. — A road accident that involved four vehicles, two of which were public buses, left eight injured, Cancun authorities reported.

The mishap was recorded Tuesday morning around 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Tulum and Coba Avenues where two public city buses are accused of causing an accident that involved two private cars.

According to their report, two public transport buses, one from SEA and the other from Bonfil, were alleged responsible for a road accident that left a total of eight people injured after witnesses accused them of racing.

The accident that clogged the city street was called into Emergency 911 where it was reported that two public transport units and two cars were involved in an accident. Elements of the Traffic Police and an ambulance responded to the call, arriving to confirm the accident and the injured who were not transferred to hospital.

Passengers on the buses say that the drivers were speeding and ended up colliding.
