Tulum, Q.R. — A Tulum taxi driver who forgot to apply his emergency hand brake found his car heading for the sea.
The moving taxi was found hung up on rocks on a road at Punta Piedra as it made its way toward the water after the driver of the unit failed to apply the emergency brake when parking on a slope.
Unable to dislodge the vehicle himself, the driver of the taxi requested assistance from transit police who in turn, called a tow truck. Elements of the transit police also invited the taxi driver to the office of la Dirección de Tránsito to claim his vehicle.
