Three kilometer traffic line result of rear end at Puerto Morelos

Puerto Morelos. Q.R. — A Friday afternoon highway accident outside Puerto Morelos created a long line of backed up traffic until police were able to clear the vehicles.

It was just before 5:00 p.m. when two vehicles crashed along the Federal 307 about one kilometer from Puerto Morelos. Preliminary reports say that one of the vehicles was traveling at high speed and was unable to stop before rear ending the vehicle in front.

The force of the impact of the rear end caused the bumper of the work pickup truck to collapse, sustaining a fair amount of damage.

Vehicles were lined up for more than three kilometers while police sorted out the traffic mess. There were no reported injuries.
