Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Police in Puerto Morelos demonstrated Tuesday morning, demanding salary improvements that they say they were promised. Puerto Morelos Mayor Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz talked with the upset officers that afternoon.
“We are working on the restructuring of our data tables and are days away from passing it through City Hall for discussion and, where appropriate, approval with which the elements of Public Security and Firefighters will benefit, as well as Public Services personnel, doctors and paramedics from the municipality’s medical dispensaries,” she said.
Puerto Morelos police officers demonstrated for the half day for their salary increase as well as for improved equipment.
