Tulum, Q.R. — A targeted shooting left one male dead Sunday night in a Tulum neighborhood. Police arrived to find the dead man laying on a road in the Invasión 2 de Octubre neighborhood.
A second person was reported seriously injured. Municipal officers were called to an address at the intersection of Saturno Poniente and Leo Sur where neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots.
Eye witnesses told Tulum police that armed individuals opened fire on two men who were in the street before taking off on a motorcycle. Municipal police officers located both shot men lying on the pavement.
Paramedics confirmed that one was already dead, while the second was stabilized and rushed to a local hospital. Neither men have been publicly identified. Police have not provided a possible motive for the targeted shooting.
