Chetumal, Q.R. — Investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the motel murder of a Chetumal woman. The unnamed woman was found dead inside a motel room Saturday morning.
Police arrived at Boulevard Bahía where the motel manager explained that the woman had arrived in the company of a man around 6:00 a.m. The room was rented for one hour. Before the time expired, the man left but the woman stayed.
When motel staff went to the room to inform the woman her time had expired, they found her dead. Police are continuting with their investgation into her death. An autopsy is being preformed.
In a brief statement, the FGE of Quintana Roo reported that they have “started an investigation, based on the femicide protocol, for events that occurred in a building located on Boulevard Bahía.
“It should be noted that the FGE is waiting for the corresponding expert examinations to determine the causes of this unfortunate death.”
