Chetumal, Q.R. — Authorities are investigating the discovery of two bodies in the Fraternidad Antorchista neighborhood of Chetumal. The bodies were discovered Saturday around noon on a dirt road by a local resident.
According to preliminary information, an area man was cleaning property of overgrown vegetation when he saw the bodies on a dirt road at the intersection of Gladiolas and Insurgentes Streets.
Preliminary reports indicate that the bodies are of two men who were violently killed. The area was cordoned off while forensic personnel collected evidence before removing the bodies.
The two men will be checked against the state’s current missing persons report since there are currently five people reported as missing in the southern area over the last two weeks.
