Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Authorities say Eladio “N” has officially been charged in the murders of three Playa del Carmen taxi drivers. The bodies of the three men were found dumped off the federal highway north of the city in July.

They say he has been charged with “aggravated homicide of three taxi drivers that occurred on July 18, 2025.
“The defendant is accused of being the alleged leader of a criminal group with a presence in the state, as well as the direct perpetrator of the murder of three taxi drivers in this municipality.”
During his hearing, the judge ordered him to remain in preventive detention for a term of two years.
On September 3, Abelsasar “N”, another suspect in the murder of the three taxi drivers, was arrested in Centla, Tabasco. He was stopped and inspected by police for trying to evade a checkpoint aboard a white Nissan Sentra vehicle without license plates.

He was initially arrested for drug possession, however, after running his identification through Plataforma México, police learned he was wanted for in the state of Quintana Roo for murder. He was transferred back to Quintana Roo to face charges. Police have identified drug dealing in the tourists areas of Riviera Maya as a motive for the murders.
