Cancun, Q.R. — A waterline break in the Cancun International Airport caused some walking discomfort for travelers attempting to make their way around a flooded area.
A spokesperson from the Cancun International Airport explained that on Saturday, Terminal 3 experienced a small flooding that began in a bathroom when a pipe started to leak. Several centimeters of water pooled near the leak before the repair was made.
The entire incident lasted less than three hours before maintenance crews had the pipe repaired and floor dried.
The airport reported, “it was in a joint pipe which was repaired immediately with cleaning staff responsible for drying all affected areas.”
Cancun is the second most busy airport in the country with Saturdays being one of its most busy days.
