Akumal, Q.R. — A failed highway U-turn by an SUV left a motorcycle driver with a head injury. Traffic police and medical personnel were on scene outside Akumal where they located a damaged SUV and numerous motorcycle pieces on the highway.
According to early information, the driver of the SUV was heading toward Playa del Carmen when he made a highway U-turn, failing to see the oncoming motorcycle.
The Tuesday afternoon accident left the young bike driver with a head injury. He was attended to by other motorists until an ambulance arrived.
