Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — The lifeless body of a handcuffed man was found left in the middle of a highway Friday night. Police were notified of the finding of the body around 10:00 p.m.
Initially, it was believed the man was a hit-and-run victim, however, that was ruled out when authorities realized he was handcuffed and likely tossed from a vehicle after being shot.
The unidentified adult male was found with one bullet wound to his head. State agents sectioned off the area of the federal highway in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto while investigating officers collected evidence.
