Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — On Monday morning, two Riviera Maya buses were involved in a highway accident outside Puerto Morelos that left several injured.
The two buses, which belonged to hotel services in Riviera Maya, suffered damaged when one bus managed to rear-end another. The collision happened around 6:00 a.m. along the Puerto Morelos-Playa del Carmen highway at the height of the Federal Electricity Commission substation.
Preliminary reports say that one bus hit the other, causing injuries to some passengers on the impacted bus.
Several ambulances arrived with paramedics attending to those who needed it. Some of the injured were transferred to hospital in Playa del Carmen, and others, to Puerto Morelos.
Although no deaths were reported, the exact cause of the accident and injured are not known.
