Cancun, Q.R. — A woman who was being investigated for burying her boyfriend in his Cancun garden is being charged with illegal burial and not homicide. In a statement, the Attorney General said that the girlfriend, Linda N, will be charged with illegal burial.
In August Daniel N, an Argentine citizen who lived in Cancun, died and was buried, at his request, on his property in Cancun. His son, who lives in Argentina, made the report to local authorities who investigated. They were successful in locating the body, which has since been exhumed.
The 60-year-old Daniel N is said to have died from covid complications after contracting the disease in early August.
