Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — A man was shot to death in broad daylight Thursday in the community of Javier Rojo Gómez. According to witness reports, the now-deceased was driving his motorcycle when he was intercepted by a compact car.
Subjects from inside the car took aim at the motorcycle driver, hitting him six times as he tried to escape. He fell from his bike and was found dead on the side of a road. He was reported to be a local sugar mill worker.
Police responded to the 911 report of the deadly daytime shooting, arriving to find the man dead. Paramedics confirmed the death while police began a search operation for the car. So far, arrests have not been announced.
