Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — A man who lured an underage girl from her state to live with him in Quintana Roo has been charged with rape. Police say Jesús Fernando “N” convinced the girl to leave Guanajuato where they both lived.
Once in Quintana Roo, he made the girl his girlfriend. He has since been charged with rape.
In a statement, police said “the accused, Jesús Fernando “N”, is being investigated for events that started on September 19 of this year, when he arrived in Othón P. Blanco from León, Guanajuato, with the victim whom he convinced to move to Quintana Roo to escape a problematic family situation.
“According to preliminary investigations, the minor met the suspect in León, Guanajuato, where a friendship developed. She confided in him that her family mistreated her and forced her to work for a drug-dealing criminal organization, which made her fear for her life, as she had received threats.
“The man promised her that if she came with him to Quintana Roo, he would help her get into a military school where she would be safe. But upon arriving in Quintana Roo, he told her she would be his partner and that if she didn’t accept, he would tell those looking for her where she was. Fearing that this would happen, she stayed with Jesús Fernando “N.”
“Meanwhile, the minor’s family reported her missing to the Guanajuato Attorney General’s Office, which activated an Amber Alert to locate her.

“After locating the minor, Jesús Fernando “N” was arrested. The victim was handed over to Guanajuato state authorities to be returned to that state where she will be integrated into a support network.”
