Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The driver of a semi cab was forcefully stopped in Playa del Carmen after being accused of causing a highway accident. Police in Playa del Carmen managed to stop the driver of the cab by shooting out its tires.
The incident took place Saturday night when the driver of the cab was accused of causing an accident along the federal highway at the north entrance of Playa del Carmen near the federal police filter. Police gave chase, catching up with the driver near the Villamar 1 subdivision.
It was there where Municipal police shot out the vehicle’s tires until the unit stopped. From there, the driver was captured and detained by municipal agents.
