Cozumel, Q.R. — A variety of packaged drugs continue to wash up on Quintana Roo shores. The latest find were three packages of narcotics on the eastern side of the island of Cozumel.
Patrolling elements of the Mexican Army located three different packages totaling more than 80 kilos of narcotics. The two elements secured the three packages, one of which was 71.8 kilos of cocaine. Inside the wrapped block of cocaine were 60 individually wrapped packages.
The other two wrapped packages located during their Wednesday morning patrol were 11.2 kilos of marijuana. In the past four weeks since Hurricane Grace hit Quintana Roo, approximately 130 kilos of cocaine has been found on beaches along with 24 kilos of marijuana.
