Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — PDC police spent Tuesday processing a shot up vehicle for clues that could help either explain or link two events. The events they are hoping to clarify include the discovery of a missing person and a vehicle with bullet holes.

On Tuesday, a ranch worker, whose whereabouts had been unknown for a week, was found with multiple injuries in the community of Vida y Esperanza. Municipal Police responded to community reports of gunfire, leading them to find the missing man.
In response to that same report, police also located a pickup truck in Playa del Carmen allegedly connected to the incident.
The operation began after reports of gunfire and a person injured in the community, located approximately 12 kilometers northwest of the city of Playa del Carmen. The ranch hand, who was from the community of Santa Cecilia, was found with at least one bullet wound and other injuries to his back and arms.
During the police operation, officers were notified of a white pickup truck on Playa del Carmen Boulevard near 82nd Street that was witnessed at the scene where the ranch hand was found.
The pick up was found left behind by fleeing occupants on Playa del Carmen Boulevard. Upon nearing the truck, police noticed several bullet holes.

The vehicle was seized and processed for evidence that could lead them to those responsible for the abduction and shooting of the ranch hand.
