Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A double long semi that plowed through an overpass guardrail created highway chaos outside Puerto Aventuras. Firemen from Solidaridad were at the scene along with police and paramedics in response to motorists reports of the Saturday morning accident.
According to the driver, he dozed at the wheel as he began his ascent up the overpass and crashed through the guardrail. The semi, which was loaded with produce for Cancun, was found in two parts on the side road below.
The side road heading to Cancun was closed for more than an hour while authorities cleared the way. The driver was not seriously hurt.
