Ex-Tulum city council member signs over real estate to courts

Tulum, Q.R. — A former Tulum city council member has signed over two real estate properties as part of the reparation of his financial damages. The handing over of the properties came after he was charged with irregular performance during his city council term.

The ex-city official, Ricardo N, asked the court to consider the donation of the properties as part of his repayment. In a statement, the Special Prosecutor’s Office in Corruption reported that the recovery of the assets was accepted by the judge who determined that the real estate properties were valued around 5.2 million peso.
