Dump truck driver hospitalized after making contact with high voltage power lines

Muyil, Q.R. — The driver of a dump truck remains in serious condition after coming into contact with overhead power lines. Local residents found the man after he had already been shocked.

After requesting emergency assistance, he was rushed to hospital by elements of the Mexican Army. According to resident witnesses, the dump truck was traveling along a dirt road when the metal cab came into contact with low hanging CFE high voltage wires.

They removed him from the truck and called for help. He was reported to be in serious condition with extensive burns to his hands and a foot.
