Chetumal, Q.R. — A man visiting an inmate inside the Chetumal prison will likely be provided with his own cell. On Saturday, he was arrested for trying trying to smuggle drugs inside the prison.
During an inspection to enter the building, the man was marked positive by an onsite narcotics dog. A review revealed an undisclosed amount of marijuana hidden inside a shoe.
Rather than visiting, the unidentified male was taken into custody for drug possession and attempting to smuggle the illegal substance inside the Chetumal Cereso.
