Cancun, Q.R. — A group of men stopped inside a car for not wearing mouth masks were arrested Monday after a narcotics dog marked them for drugs. The off-chance arrests happened at a checkpoint when officers pulled the car’s driver over.
In an information release, the corporation said that once pulled over, officers proceeded to tell the five occupants that they needed to wear mouth masks. While stopped, a police narcotics dog marked the car as positive for drugs.
The vehicle and the five men were inspected. Police found packages of drugs as well as 262,100 peso in cash. Taken into custody was Víctor “N”, Antonio “N”, Alberto “N”, Rigoberto “N” and Adolfo “N”.
