Cozumel, Q.R. — Another block of narcotics that has turned out to be 14 kilos of pot was found Thursday. Patrolling military found the wrapped block of marijuana washed up on a beach on the northern section of the island.
The wrapped marijuana package was found among beach garbage.
“During a land tour, military personnel found two rectangular-shaped packages 22 centimeters wide and 11 centimeters high and another oval-shaped package 24 centimeters long and 14 centimeters high.
“The packages were wrapped in tan tape and were found torn in one part, where a compact and moist green herb, similar to marijuana, could be seen inside,” authorities reported in a statement.
Earlier this week, 25 kilos of cocaine was discovered on a Cozumel beach near Punta Arrecifes.
