Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Early morning motorists discovered the bodies of two men laying near a highway bus stop in Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Police were notified early Wednesday of the grim discovery.
The bodies were found in the community of Santa Amalia, which is five five kilometers north of the municipality’s main town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
Municipal Police were at the scene around 7:30 a.m. in response to the 9-1-1 report. Authorities confirmed the finding was that of two male bodies. Both were found with their hands tied and faces covered with black bags.
One of the men has since been identified as 22-year-old Jesús Alberto “C”, a young man who was reported missing January 28. Authorities have not publicly identified the second victim.
