Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A city motorcycle driver suffered severe face and arm injuries Wednesday crashing into a combi. An ambulance transferred the injured bike driver to hospital from near the afternoon Arco Vial Avenue accident scene.
Municipal Transit also arrived to learn that the driver of the motorcycle failed to notice the combi slowing down for a passenger. He hit the back driver’s side of the public transport unit at full speed.
The back window of the van was left shattered while the motorcycle broke into a few pieces, including the dislodging of the driver’s seat from the bike. The driver of the motorcycle suffered severe face and arm injuries from the impact. Police did not say if he was wearing a helmet.
