Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A woman was transferred to Playa del Carmen hospital after being involved in a two vehicle crash in the north part of the city. Highway motorists reported the 9:00 a.m. accident that happened just past Avenue Xcalacoco.
Paramedics responded to the report along with police who located a crunched Tsuru and old model half-ton pickup. The front of the pickup was heavily damaged after allegedly rear-ending the car.
The accident is reported to have occurred when the car slowed for a hotel access road and the vehicle behind failed to notice. The woman from the car suffered a broken leg.
