Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — A woman who was reported missing on December 18 has been found alive. Martha “N” was allegedly kidnapped in Cancun on December 17. Details surrounding her disappearance are not clear.
Her family filed a missing persons report with the state on December 18. On the morning of December 23, officers patrolling Ruta de los cenotes in the municipality of Puerto Morelos came upon the woman.
She was found gagged and tied at hands and feet. She had been left on the side of the highway. It is not known how long she was there before being discovered by the patrolling officers.
Authorities have not made a public statement regarding her discovery. She was transferred to hospital for treatment.
