Cozumel, Q.R. — Four crew and their boat were successfully returned to Cozumel shores after experiencing engine failure. On Monday, four fishermen aboard Osiel were left drifting after the engine of the vessel failed.
Without propulsion, the small fishing boat began to move further away from land. A request for assistance was made to the Harbor Master, who sent the navy in search of the men. Members of the Navy of Mexico responded to their request for help, locating Osiel and its crew approximately 12 nautical miles (22 kilometers) north of Cozumel.
The crew were brought aboard the navy vessel, while their own boat was towed to Banco Playa in Cozumel.
