Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two men who reportedly exchanged gunfire with Playa del Carmen police have been arrested. Their arrests were made after a foot chase in the downtown area of the city.
The pair allegedly shot at a targeted person, a man who worked for a purified water company. The man was able to find police and describe his attackers. During a search for the two men, police were successful in locating them. However, once they spotted police, they fled, running toward 15th Avenue.
Numerous police and National Guard patrol units arrived at 15th Avenue where the pair were detained. In police custody is 22-year-old Juan N and 50-year-old Audomarao N. They were each found carrying a loaded weapon and charged with attempted homicide and illegal possession of a firearm.
