Two behind bars after Tulum police dog confirms armed youth on public beach

Tulum, Q.R. — Police in Tulum put two youths behind bars after they were each located carrying a loaded gun on a public beach. The young men were seen by law officials Monday night, one of whom, carrying a suspected loaded gun at his waist.

The suspicion of the gun was verified by the officer’s police dog. An inspection of the youths revealed that both men were packing loaded .45s. Both were handcuffed and transferred from the Mezzanine public beach to jail. In custody are 19-year-old Adrián N and 26-year-old Marlon N for illegal possession of a firearm.
