Tulum, Q.R. — A Tulum taxi driver was taken to hospital early Thursday morning after slamming into the back of a moving semi. According to early reports, the driver of the taxi fell asleep at the wheel.
In his moment of dozing, he collided with a semi bed that was transporting a load of bricks. The impact completely destroyed his car. The 19-year-old Tulum taxi driver, Jesús “A”, was transferred to hospital with only minor head injuries.
The accident happened during the early morning hours of Thursday on a section of Tulum-Felipe Carrillo Puerto federal highway about five kilometers from the municipality of Tulum.
