Tulum, Q.R. — Police in Tulum spent part of their week undergoing specialized dive training. Several of the officers participated in rescue dive courses. Óscar Aparicio, the General Director of Public Security for Tulum, lead the team sessions.
The group of officers were trained in public rescue that would see them assist in the event of centoe or at-sea emergencies.
“Today began the training for the first group of police officers, taking session one of “Professional Police Rescue Diver”, to help the population and foreigners who come to visit our Cenotes and Beaches,” Aparicio posted on social media.
Aparicio did not specify how many officers would participate in the professional dive rescue training or low long the course would last.
