Tulum, Q.R. — Tulum mayor-elect, Marciano Dzul Caamal, has announced two names that will make up his cabinet. Dzul Caamal says that during his 2021-2024 term, Jorge Portilla will be the head of the General Secretariat of the City Council.
He has also announced that Lorenzo Miranda will head the Urban Development Directorate for the municipality. Miranda was Secretary General of the City Council in 2013 and in 2018, he served as General Director of Urban Development and Ecology for the municipality.
Jorge Portilla was Director of Tourism for Tulum in 2013. In 2018, he was Secretary of Infrastructure and Transportation and in 2020, he headed the General Directorate of Urban Environmental Management and Climate Change.
Dzul Caamal says his appointments will integrate a cabinet of the best elements with people trained to serve the citizenship and not use it.
