Tulum, Q.R. — Two more Tulum businesses have been shut by city officials for violating healthy distancing and liquor sales during the coronavirus contingency.
Personnel from the Dirección de Fiscalización, Protección Civil, the Ayuntamiento of Tulum and Secretaría de Finanzas y Planeación (Sefiplan) were on site at both locations after they were found selling alcohol during off-hours. Both establishments were also found with an accumulation of gather guests, which violates the social distancing requirement due to the coronavirus epidemic.
Both businesses were shut and fined and void of the alcohol licenses. Municipal inspectors continue to tour the area to verify compliance with the provisions of the state government.
