Tulum, Q.R. — The driver of a truck who failed to stop at a marked pedestrian walkway ended up running over a man. The man was hit by the truck on Tulum Avenue in the center of the city while trying to cross the street.
The pedestrian was left lying on the central median of the avenue and was attended to by paramedics. Municipal Police officers also arrived and arrested the driver of the truck, 36-year-old Antonio “G”, after witnesses to the accident detailed that he ignored the man using the marked crosswalk.
