Transit officers respond to highway report of bus in trees

Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A company bus meant for transporting staff was left damaged after running off the road in Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Transit officers arrived in response to the 7:30 a.m. motorist reports of a large company bus stuck in trees.

The driver of the bus was forced to exit through a window after the bus’ door came to a rest against trees. The unidentified bus driver reportedly swerved off the highway and was unable to correct the swerve before driving into vegetation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene who assessed the driver and found that he did not require medical assistance. The bus was not carrying staff members at the time of the accident.
