Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Employees from two tourist parks in three locations stopped work Tuesday in protest of lack of profit sharing payments. The unionized CROC workers expressed their dissatisfaction with the parks in Isla Mujeres, Puerto Aventuras and Cozumel.
Workers from all three locations protested simultaneously with banners protesting the lack of profit sharing payments.
CROC representative Noel Pinacho said that workers protested after learning the company claimed no profits with SAT. Pinacho claimed the owner of the tourist parks made the zero profit claim in order to avoid paying workers a percentage of the company’s profits.
