Three returned to Playa del Carmen after Merida arrests for concealment of two murders

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three people have been detained in the Yucatan city of Merida for covering up two murders in Playa del Carmen. The two women and one man were taken into police custody in joint efforts between Yucatan and Quintana Roo authorities.

According to the FGE of Quintana Roo, Heidy “B”, Mairena “M” and Isaac “J” were arrested on charges of concealment by Yucatan authorities and transferred by land to Playa del Carmen in the state of Quintana Roo.

They were arrested after an “investigation was started for the crime of homicide after the discovery of two lifeless bodies in a home located in the Santa Fe del Carmen neighborhood on February 26 of this year. Three arrest warrants were issued,” the FGE reported.

All three have already been presented before a judge who ordered them to remain in detention. Isaac “J” has been confined to the Municipal Detention Center of PDC, while Heidy “B” and Mairena “M” were admitted to the Cancun Penitentiary Center.
