Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A bar has been seized by the state of Quintana Roo after a shooting the night before. The bar, which is located in the Leona Vicario neighborhood of the town, was the scene of a shooting Tuesday night.
Police arrived at the bar after residential reports of gunfire and one person injured. Officers did not find any injured person at the scene, however, they did collect more than a dozen shell casings from the street directly in front of the bar.
Several hours later, police were made aware of an adult male who admitted himself to hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound. There, police were able to locate the person shot outside the bar.
State authorities arrived the following day around 1:00 p.m. and shut it down. The property was left with restricted access and under guard by municipal authorities.
