Cozumel, Q.R. — Two males have been transferred to Cozumel jail after a search of their home revealed drugs, weapons and cash. The two men, aged 19 and 31, were arrested after a search of their home in the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood.
The Director of Public Safety of Cozumel, Rodrigo Rodríguez Peña said the search was made after 911 received a complaint of armed persons inside the home. When police arrived, the pair tried to evade being caught, however, they were intercepted and arrested.
Inside the house, police located guns, ammo, drugs, seeds, cash and drug paraphernalia. More than 31,000 peso in bills was seized along with a motorcycle with an outstanding theft report located on the property.
